During my 20 year teaching career, I noticed that my main passion was always the self-esteem of my students and how they responded to challenges.
My teaching career achievements include:
In 2009, the parent of one of my students made me a professional looking wooden plaque which read 'Teacher of the year, 2009, Miss Lavrick, LA10'. :)
On a serious note, in 2018 I was called to resign from my permanent teaching position at a magnificent school (Kingston Primary) to focus on developing a unique and effective program to teach children strategies to manage their thoughts and emotions with a HUGE focus on self-confidence. I have held hundreds of workshops for children in locations including Bunbury, Mandurah, Perth, Albany, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Broome and Darwin. I have also held Parent Workshops and Professional Development Courses for educators and allied health professionals in collaboration with Dr Gemma Foxall from ACT for Autism.
In 2019, I developed my first online video tutorial program, Mind Ninja, and my program reached the Semi-Finals of the Curtin University, School of Education Teaching Excellence Awards in the WA Regional Achievement & Community Awards.
The Life Lessons Global Program has been featured in several newspapers and radio broadcasts throughout Australia and has been featured twice on GWN7 NEWS.
